Apache x Olivi

Goldenboy is a 2011 Dutch Warmblood gelding that was bred by the Sturkenboom- Vernooy family in the Netherlands. He was already a high potential as a young horse, scoring high points in the Young Horse competitions like the PAVO cup. He was trained and competed in Grand Prix by Nars Gottmer for the owners/ breeders. Dressage trainer Matty Marissink, a friend of Josh's coach Sabina Rijssenbeek, was then involved in finding him a new rider. When Sabina connected Josh with Matty, the link was made and Josh found Goldenboy.

Goldenboy landed in California in the fall of 2023, and Josh then brought him to Florida for the winter season. They started training with Lars Petersen and not soon after were selected for the U25 Team to ride the Nation's Cup.
